Refund policy
You have 30 days from the day your order is delivered to ask for a refund, for any reason or for no reason at all.
You Do Not Send the Piece Back
This is the part that differs from most stores, so we will be direct about it. Our pins sell for $19.90 to $29.90. Shipping one back to us costs more than the pin is worth, and we are not going to charge you for that or pretend otherwise.
So: email hairstickshaven@gmail.com with your order number and, if you feel like it, a line about what did not work. We refund you and you keep the piece. There is no return label, no return address, no inspection, and nothing to post.
Damaged, Defective or Wrong Item
Email us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. You choose: a replacement at no cost, or a full refund. Either way you keep what arrived. This is separate from the 30-day refund above and does not use it up.
Orders That Never Arrive
If tracking has not moved for 14 days, or the stated 7-to-15-day delivery window has passed with nothing delivered, write to us with your order number. If the parcel is confirmed lost you get a replacement or a full refund, your choice.
Cancelling Before Dispatch
Email us as early as you can. If the order has not yet been dispatched we cancel it and refund in full. If it has already gone out, the 30-day refund above applies, which comes to the same result since nothing has to be returned.
What We Do Not Refund
- Requests made more than 30 days after delivery
- Gift cards
- Pieces broken by misuse after delivery — dropped, crushed, left in water, or pulled apart
Exchanges
We do not run exchanges. Ask for a refund on the piece you have and place a new order for the one you want. Your new pin ships straight away instead of waiting on a return.
How Long Refunds Take
Once we confirm your refund it is issued to your original payment method within 5 business days. Your bank or card issuer typically needs a further 3 to 7 business days before it appears on your statement. You receive an email confirmation the moment it leaves our side. If 15 business days have passed since our confirmation and you still see nothing, write to us.
Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law. Where a law gives you more than this policy does, the law applies.
Should you have any questions about our privacy practices or this Privacy Policy, or if you would like to exercise any of the rights available to you, email us at hairstickshaven@gmail.com. This is our designated method for submitting privacy requests. We reply within 24 hours and will action your request within the time required by applicable law.
- Marketing. If you have signed up to our email list, we use your email address to send you news of new pieces and occasional offers. You can unsubscribe from any of these emails, and we do not use your personal information to target advertising to you on other websites.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not operate advertising trackers on this website. The only parties that receive your information are the service providers we need in order to run the shop — payment processing, order fulfilment, email delivery and website hosting — and they may only use it to perform that service for us.
- Right to Opt out of Sale or Sharing. Some state privacy laws give you a right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information and of its use for targeted advertising. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing for you to opt out of. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal regardless. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and provide an opt-out before the change takes effect.
Complaints
U.S. State Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Kentucky or Rhode Island, your state privacy law may give you the rights described above, including the right to access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of your personal information. You can submit any of these requests by emailing hairstickshaven@gmail.com.
We do not require you to create an account to exercise these rights, and we will not treat you differently for exercising them. Where your state gives you a right to appeal a decision we make on your request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will inform you in writing of the outcome and the reasons for it.
We do not knowingly collect, sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16 years of age.
SECTION 5 - SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
We ship to addresses in the United States. Standard shipping is free on every order, and orders arrive within 7 to 15 days of being placed.
We remain responsible for your order until it is delivered to you. If a parcel is confirmed lost or arrives damaged, you receive a replacement or a full refund at your choice, as set out in our Refund Policy.
SECTION 21 - GOVERNING LAW
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, and the courts of Paris, France shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights available to you under the laws of your state or country of residence.
