A Dragon Hair Pin Caught Mid-Flight

Two wings open wide at the crest, ribbed and scalloped at the edges, and beneath them a horned head turns forward while two clawed forelegs grip the air. The body arches back from the shoulders, scaled in raised mesh through the middle, then smooths and narrows into a long tail that becomes the point. That change of texture is deliberate: rough where it needs to hold, polished where it needs to slide in.

The beast that keeps what it is given

Dragons were carved on gables, gates and grave markers long before they were cast into hairpins, and always for the same reason. They guard. They do not let go. Slide it through a low bun and the wings rise clear above the coil while the scaled midsection grips the twist. It suits festivals, rituals and metal shows, and holds thick hair through an ordinary day.

Against dark hair the star on the Pentagram Hair Pin reads as outline; against blonde, the gaps fill with your own colour.
